| The Rüstem Pasha Mosque is famous for being completely covered by blue Iznik tiles with elaborate patterns (the Blue Mosque also uses many Iznik tiles). The gorgeous tiles, originals from the 16th century, were made in the city of Iznik (Greek: Nicaea) about 60 miles southeast of Istanbul. |
