Obelisk of Pharoah Thutmose III, originally erected during the 15th century BC in Egypt. In 390 AD, Emperor Theodosius had the obelisk cut into thirds and transported to Constantinople. Only the top third survived, and now stands inside the Hippodrome (oval race track for horses, now a public square). See here and here for other examples of Roman obelisk hijackings.
